Course OrientationThe Critical Choices program consists of two components: a Learning Center and a Resource Center. The Learning Center is an online course. It combines the advantages of anytime-anywhere learning with personal contact. As students progress through the course, they are encouraged to seek support from their classmates and facilitator. As students work through the Learning Center , they will encounter a variety of activities. Some present information, others require students to actively work with or reflect on information. Once students master how to do a specific type of activity, it works the same throughout the course. There are seven different types of activities in the Learning Center. Click on each of the links below to learn how they work. (These links require that your computer have a current version of Flash. If you experience difficulties, see our Computer Checklist page.) The Resource Center provides a directory of online resources. Students can use this to search for jobs, childcare or health and meal planning information. |
