Facilitator Manual

Participating in an online course can be challenging. To ensure that your clients experience success with the Critical Choices program, it is important that you provide them with facilitators to guide them through the process and keep them “on track”.

The Facilitator Manual was developed to assist facilitators new to the Critical Choices course. It includes instructions on how to use the website, advice on how to prepare for a course session, and tips for facilitating an online course.

The Manual's Appendix is comprised of helpful job aids including:

• Step-by-step instructions on how to do critical tasks
• Facilitator Checklist (tasks to complete prior to class)
• PC Skills Assessment (test to determine student readiness for an online course)
• Student Orientation Lesson Plan
• Sample Class Schedule
